ABOUT

Jack Kotz has been an award winning fine art and commercial photographer for over thirty years.  His commercial work has consisted of editorial and advertising photography on a national scale.  His photographs have been published in six books on architecture and historic places and appeared in many periodical publications. 

In addition to his commercial photography, Jack has consistently produced work for the fine art market. In 2002 he published, in conjunction with the Mississippi Museum of Art, the book Ms. Booth’s Garden, a twenty-year documentary project on a small town in Mississippi.  An exhibition of this work at the Mississippi Museum of Art accompanied the publication of the book, and has toured the South. 

Jack’s Photographs are in the collection of the Smithsonian Museum of American Art, The Ogden Museum of Southern Art, The Mississippi Museum of Art, and numerous private collections.   He is represented in private galleries in Washington, DC; Jackson, Mississippi; New Orleans, Louisiana and Santa Fe, NM.  He has had nineteen one person exhibitions and has participated in twenty group exhibitions nationally since 1984.

Originally from the Washington, DC area, Jack now lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
